Has anyone here gone abroad for the summer? I know the UCI website lists the costs and stuff... but I asked a friend and she said she spent roughly $7000 (also bc she decided not to live in the hostels). IF you have any helpful advice.. please post here... I'm an incoming transfer student.. sociology major. I know cambridge offers some social science courses.. but I only saw history/psychology.. I don't know if I can use those courses for my major..

Oh yeah… when you study abroad, do you have to pay both UCI and the college you’re studying abroad at? Like for UCI you pay 24k, but do you have to pay the college you’re going abroad too separately? That would really suck. :/

i dont think you pay two college fees.

often, various majors have someone (a prof) in charge of helping kids in that major studying abroad. talk to them about what classes you can and cannot do. you’ll have to bounce between them and the EAP office. also, some programs have to be applied to, so you aren’t guaranteed a spot just cause you have the money or whatever.
