Hi! I'm planning to transfer from UCI to UCD and I was just curious about some statistics and my chances for getting in. I applied as a Chemistry major w/ a 3.701 GPA (BEFORE Fall grades) and probably a 3.58 or 3.61 GPA (AFTER Fall grade) I'm not sure yet. How will that affect my admission? And also, is chemistry a super impacted major at UCD?

Basically, I just want to know my chances of getting in... Because I didn't do too well on a bio class this quarter (however, bio is not a required course for chem majors at UCD).

bump :D

Also, I received my first C+ in my genetics class (I normally get A’s or B+'s). Should I explain that in the comment section? I received A’s in my other classes like ochem and etc. It’s just that something happened right before my genetics midterm and that kind of put me in a tough spot.

Thank you in advance if you reply :)

UCD is becoming more and more selective over the years and is currently tied with UCSD in terms of ranking. However, chemistry is not really an impacted major I believe, so you should have a good chance.

If you have a legitimate reason for the sudden C+, you can explain it in the comment section. If not, you do not have to.
