UCI vs. UCSD econ major

I unexpectedly got off the waitlist for both schools so now I have to make a decision (and soon!) I got in for business econ. for Irvine and Econ-math joint major for San Diego. My ultimate goal for college is to become an Actuary, and hopefully have some fun on the way. My current view is
UCSD: academically strong, socially weak
UCI: socially strong (a lot of friends going), academically…well not so sure tbh

UCI also has a quantitative economics major. https://changeofmajor.uci.edu/school-of-social-sciences/#quantitative_econ indicates that it is not hard to change into.
