UCL, KCL vs US universities

I am an international student from East Asia.
I intend to study International Relations (IR) as an undergraduate student.

I got conditional offer from University College London (UCL) and King’s College London (KCL), in the UK.

Also, I am going to apply for US and Canada universities including:

  • Duke University

  • Georgetown University

  • University of Pennsylvania

  • Brown University

  • Boston University

  • University of Toronto

  • University of California, Berkeley

  • University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)

  • University of Michigan

  • Rice University

If I got accepted by all these universities above, then I will not able to prioritize all the options including UCL and KCL.

Thus, please could you tell me how to prioritize these US universities and UK universities in terms of prestige, reputation, and job prospectus in the US, UK and other location. I think this will be quite useful for prompt decision-making.

I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Not to be harsh, but there is no point in doing this exercise until you have actual choices.

The odds of you having to prioritize all of these schools are tiny.

Your employment prospects will depend on your citizenship: if you are not a US citizen, your odds are effectively nil in the US, there is nobody who can tell you your prospects in the UK because the rules in the UK haven’t decided what they are going to be post-Brexit, but. Canada does have a 3-year post grad option.

And finally, for IR for job prospects it’s all about internships and networking.
