For some reason it says that I am not required to submit the $100 when SIRing to ucla. Is this because I'm a uc-uc transfer or what? I'm just curious as to why they waived it.

Anyone else not have to do it?

Wow really? I want to know too.

on my SIR page it says on step four in red: Registration Deposit: Not Required

is that what you mean? hm i dont have to do it and im not a uc-uc, it might be because of my low EFC. is that the same for you?

Are you serious? I have the Registration Deposit as “not required” too! Wow. UCLA is making it really hard to say no.

I have a high EFC so that’s not it. I’m not sure why haha.

You guys are lucky. I had a pretty low EFC and I paid $100 to SIR already. :

My fee was waived too. I wonder if it’s tied to the application fee waiver since I had that waived as well.

@Mountain343 that’s an interesting point, my application fee wasn’t waived.

No. I didn’t have a fee waiver. It’s tied with something else…

Did you guys ever figure out why it wasn’t required? I’m in the same situation now
Yup same for me.I wonder why
It’s based off your EFC. I didn’t have to pay for my SIR either when I transferred into UCLA. If you have an EFC of 0 or so they will waive it.
I also believe orientation fees will be waived.
It’s not required if you’re transferring UC-UC
