UCLA 4.2 gpa, but bad sat score

I just turned into a senior in high school. I should be happy, but rather am quite distraught about my current levels as a student. My dream school has always been UCLA! However, i might not be able to make it! My GPA is 3.9 unweighted and 4.2 weighted. I am partial IB with a good 600 hours in volunteering in India to fight malaria and providing blood for patients at a blood bank. I volunteered at a community center in US. My only and foremost concern is my June sat score of 1800. I cant handle the stress that's been riding on my mind because of this score. Will UCLA or any other prestigious school even consider me with this score. I will definitely take the test again in September but would just like to know if this will work. PLS PLS PLS help me... the stress is killing me! (second post due to no viable replies)

Here is the link for UCLA’s Freshman Profile 2014: http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_fr/Frosh_Prof14.htm</a>
SAT definitely a negative. Study hard this summer and get that score up…
Good Luck!! Also SAT offered in October not September and you might want to try the ACT in September to see if you do better.

thank you

Definitely try the ACT.

You would be surprised how many people do much better on one test versus the other.

hmm…i tried an online version and got a 33; ill take the real one in October as well…i guess. Thank you for your help guys.

Take the ACT. Your SAT is way too low for UCLA

Did you get in?
