My stats are low indeed. I am considering taking the SAT 1 Reasoning Test this coming sat (which i have already registered for) and or the ACT on Dec 10. But my question is...what score would be needed for me to get into UCLA? Any reasonable estimate? My personal statement is awesome (as others have said) and I have extracurreculars and leadership covered(president of 3 clubs and all that junk). Looking at it now, my sat scores and gpa don't qualify for UCLA. what to do...

GPA is low for UCLA. They usually want around 4.1 GPA (I don't know what your A-G GPA is). Your EC's are good with athletics, but nothing pops out at me. UCLA has comprehensive review, so maybe one admissions officer might find all the athletics you do very impressive and will give you an edge. Right now, your SAT II's are low (floating around 50th percentile nationwide). To compensate for that also, you're going to need to bust a 2200+ to make up for the GPA and low SAT II's. Are you considering UCSD, even that is a reach with a low GPA and low test scores, despite your EC's.

hey. thnx a bunch for the response. much appreciated. i was just wondering...do you find the ACT or SAT to be easier? I'm not too sure about which one to take...i might end up taking both.
