Just wondering if everyone got the invitation for the college honors day.

def. not everyone; you have to have either a +4.00 UC gpa and a +1340 sat or rank in the top 3% of your class..

Yea, the RSVP thing?

nope, mine is college WELCOME day. haha

where did u guys find this stuff out?

It was on the admissions websiite when you logged in and told you your decision

does the college welcome day cost money? cause the scholars day sure does! it's kinda funny.

Funny, I had a 4.00+ UC gpa and 1510 SAT I, and I didn't get an invitation. Think maybe I should call and ask about it, or would that make me look like an arrogant twit?

hm. they did say in another place that leadership/ecs also were sorta factor. it was vague. but i dont think calling would make you an arrogant twit

I got an invitation to that. I have 4.3 gpa, 1460 sat, average ec's

Wait so does that mean we're in the honors colllege or what?

Yeah I got the invitation.

I had a 1420 SATI, a 690 710 and 770 SAT II scores, 4.25 GPA 10-12, good ECs

Yup... not everyone gets it. It's usually College Welcome Day...

EC's arent a factor. Besides GPA and SAT scores, remember, you have to have a rank in the top 3% of your class. You could have a 1600 and 4.7 and still not get one if a bunch of people in your school have similar GPA's.

is college welcome day the same thing as honors or something? because i didnt get invited to that and i thought everyone that was admitted did.

I got invited to College Honors Day. It's $10! THOSE CHEAP BASTOIDS. BTW, my stats were: 1480/760/710/710. 4.4 UC GPA

Actually according to the letter ECs are a factor. Just look at this:

"Because of the quality of your scholarship and your contributions to your community, we are pleased to invite you to attend UCLA's College Honors Day."

Scholarship meaning academic work, and contributions to your community meaning ECs and community service.

not true; you don't have to be in the top 3%. it's either in the top 3% OR +4.00 and +14??
Cause I got to a supercompetitive school and i am FOR SURE not in the top 3%

top 3% is only for those who dont meet the initial qualification, which is 1390 sat and 4.0+ weighted gpa, i believe.

I meet all the qualitifications, even the ec's and I still didn't get one!
