UCLA and UCB

I live in washington (OOS), and I want to know if I have chances at the UC's.

peanutr95:

UCB/UCLA: Match (out of state)

Are you estimating that you'll get National Merit Commended, since you're only a junior? If you want AP Scholar with distinction, I'd recommend taking AP English Language as a self-study in order to have 5 AP scores to qualify for the award.

Berk/UCLA: (oos) match

Did you take your SATs yet? If you can get 2100, I say match.

omg...you are so like me! I have almost the exact EC's as you! =)

If you can get into UCLA/UCB, then I can get in tooooo! YAY!

Good luck on your SAT's

2100.. i don't think that's extremely hard. thanks a lot for the imput guys. oh yeah, im guessing i'll get a commended because don't you automaticaly get commended at a certain score? I'm just worrying about the out of state tuition for now.

Realize there is almost no financial aid for oos students. $40K/yr is a lot of money for schools that have huge classes and where half of students take more than 4 years to graduate because needed classes are hard to get. Go to one of there for grad school because that's where they excel and go to an undergrad school with small classes where you will have a better experience.

I have to agree, I took classes at UCLA last summer. It was beautiful and fun, but unless I were going to the film school not worth it compared to a private top 15 school in my opinion.

bump------
