UCLA and USC for Animation?

<p>Hello,
I'm a high school student thinking about applying to UCLA and USC for animation.
They are ranked really high for animation, but I saw a lot of posts in which people say they are not for animation.
I'm so confused! All the posts I've read are really old though, and I would like to hear how their programs are recently. Are UCLA and USC really good for computer animation? </p>

<p>Did you ever check out the student work? We did see it and didn’t like it.
Secondly, both USC and UCLA is into traditional animation and primarily 2d work. If you want 3d, they aren’t the best choice.</p>
