UCLA AP Credits Acceptance Question

Hello everyone, I just have a quick question about the accepted AP credits of UCLA. This is mainly to decide what AP tests to take this year (senior year). My main question is concerning conflicts between intended majors and gained credits. For example, if I were to do my major in Biomed, but have already passed the AP Bio test with a 5, then would I have to take the class again at UCLA? I'm guessing I do, as it would be part of my intended major. However, would that credit actually grant me any elective credits in lew of the bio credits it would've granted me?

Thanks in advance to anyone who has any insight on this matter :)

yeah, you get 8 elective units. and you have to take all the bio classes at ucla
