I have heard as a rumor from many that an undergraduate degree from LA with a BizEcon degree will more often than not lead to life as an accountant, a job I seriously do not want to do. I want to know that the road to investment banking is open as well. Any thoughts?

Damn, there are a hell of a lot of questions about UCLA business on this board ;)

WHERE ARE MY HUMANITIES FREAKS? GO NORTH CAMPUS!

abc123def, im not a biz econ major, but from what i know, the biz econ degree is as versatile as a biz admin degree (from a comparable institution). i havent heard anything about biz econ majors becoming accountants more than other business jobs. the only thing that would make me think this is that ucla offers an accounting minor, so that is the concentration that bizecon majors are most familiar with, but im very positive that bizecon majors arent limited to accounting and actually have a wide range of options. there's an undergraduate business society, an undergraduate investment society, beta alpha psi (finance?), well-rounded business frats, etc. so i think theres versatility in the biz econ degree.
