Hey so, I ordered books from the UCLA book store. I chose preferred USED for both of my books. And today they send me an email and it looks as if I'm getting one of my books used and hte other one new. How would I go about returning the new book and keeping the old one?

-Your confused college noob

If you’re getting it mailed to you, just get the new book and return it in the beginning of the year (make sure that plastic is not torn at all, or whatever – if it is wrapped in plastic; if so, they will not accept it for return, so be careful) in Ackerman @ the place with the “Textbook BuyBack” sign. Make sure you have the credit card (or whatever card) that you ordered with it (you can also just get the number + expiration date too, but be careful with it :P).

If you’re picking it up, just pick them up and then do the things that I typed above.

thank you sooo much transpublic. I can do the same with the used one too, right? In case i plan on dropping the class or something like that happens.

Yep, you can do the same. No problem.

Do you know if they give cash or just return the amount back to the credit card?

If you ordered from a credit card, it goes back to the credit card.
