I checked my cal grant status on california student aid commission website, and found out that I didn't get the cal grant.
but my provisional award letter from ucla shows that the estimated award for me is about 20K(include cal grant).
I also receive the letter from CAL and uci; they gave UC grants instead of cal grants.
So, if i transfer to ucla, how much award I can get?
UCLA would give UC grants to make up for the loss of Cal Grants?

This also happened to me (denied by cal grant but school has given me UC grant). The woman that I had talked to from the school I am transferring to had told me that if I did not get the Cal Grant, then the grant I received from the school would rise or compensate for this year. I am not sure, however, if that is the same for grants from other schools. I would call the financial aid office at UCLA and ask them directly.

actually i called them 10 minutes ago.
They said that they cannot give me a certain answer, and they will check and decide my financial status after I enroll the class.

if you have any new information from ucla financial office, please tell me…
Thank you~
