Torrancecali/Premed4life is latching on to this one single world-based ranking when all the others show Cal is better. It is rather pitiful.

LOLOLOLLLLLLL, jezz, "latching on" is a kinda strong statement, Im pretty sure i just created a thread w/ one obv. sarcastic sentence

I wonder where you learned your analyzing skills from.....Cal?

doesn't 'premed4life' imply that you'll never actually go to med school, become a doctor, or really do anything but premed, well, for the rest of your life?

where'd you think that one up, genius?

I saw this thread in the Berkeley forum as well. So, that makes it at least 2 threads like this. I wonder where you learned your basic math from... UCLA? Or no, UC Merced?

Don't act like a d0uchebag because your school was ranked higher in a single ranking. Let's not even mention the fact that you couldn't even get in as a freshman applicant and had to spend some time at UC Merced.

ucla = cal rejects

Okay, I don't want to get in the middle of a flame war. I'm a Bruin, and I have the greatest respect for Cal students.

But I do have to speak against the statement above. I got accepted into both UCLA and Cal, so technically, in my case and in those of many other people I know, a Bruin rejected Cal, not the other way around.

I never put it in those terms, though. I only put it that ridiculous way now because of the equally ridiculous "UCLA = Cal reject" claim. They're both great schools; often where one ends up is just a matter of personal preference.

cal = social rejects

Fun game, ain't it?

Hey people, please stop this stupid verbal attack. In fact, both schools UCLA and Cal are all good. whichever one ranks higher is not an important issue.

Again and again, what is more important is how you choose your college choices wisely, get admitted to your top choices and of course you make the best out of your education!

Instead of doing these non-sense arguments, you should rather research your schools that you will attending to see the pros and cons.

Realistically speaking, after having graduated from one of the top UCs, what I see is that in the job market, you also need to know how to sell yourself, the school name alone doesn't make a big differences. For example, a graduate from Cal State system with internships experience and know how to talk wisely during the interview will get the job than a student who graduate from Cal with 4.0 but have little work experience and don't know how to sell him/herself during the interview. I am telling the truth; job hunting game is a totally different game!
