Anyone already submit SIR / Housing Application?

Who's living on-campus / off-campus?

i just took care of SIR and the housing app…

with any hope, i’ll end up in Sproul.

anyone know when we’re supposed to hear back?

Yeah.
I am in the process of completing my housing application.
Tiny question.
Most of the guys out there, will they mention that they are cool to drinking and smoking in their application?

lol… sounds like someones going to open a facebook group

Looks like, someone wants some one to start a facebook group ^^^

what is the deadline for housing application?
I am still mad at my berkeley rejection.
I am comforting myself that UCLA business econ > UCB econ.

How the hell do I find roommates if I don’t know anybody that’s going to UCLA?

I have put in my SIR and housing application. I want to get an apartment off campus. I put single as my top choice and then double with two bed rooms. and then triple with 3 bed rooms. My housing goal is to have my own bed room, not sure if this is going to be easy or not (this economy might help me out because people might want to pay less and room with someone).

thats a very good question beardy

signed my SIR and signed up for housing already 3 days ago! :D

signed up for residential plaza with a roomie~ so excited!!!

@ beardy…
i submitted it requesting random roommates.
if you happen to find someone, it seems like you can just log back in, change your ‘preference’ and list the dude’s name.

@connex…
those are like 3g’s more expensive than res halls :(

submitted my SIR today :)

i’m living off campus with a friend of mine who is going to be a senior and is looking for a roomate.

i can’t wait, and still a part of me can’t believe it. i’m so excited!

I already submitted SIR and housing app.

I’m not a smoker, but said that I’d be cool living with a smoker. They tend to be more social IMO, and if I happened to get trashed some night, I might want to have a cigarette.
And as you can probably guess from my previous statement, I stated that I’d prefer not to live with someone who does not drink.
Also that I’m neat, and generally go to bed after midnight. I said I’d be cool with one of my roommates having someone sleep over as long as I gave the OK (but please, no ****ing on my bed).
I chose plaza>suite>dorm, 3shared>2shared>1shared>triple>double>single. I chose the shared bathrooms because it seems like it’d be more convenient if the shower and sink weren’t in the same room, so I wouldn’t have to worry about someone hogging the bathroom when I just have to comb my hair.
I figure the chances of getting a single are slim, and if I get a double I may hate the person I’m with, so I chose a triple. While I may hate one of my roommates, it’s a relatively low possibility that I’d hate both of them. Also, I figure with the shared bathroom thing, that’ll be 5 people I know automatically. I think that will help the social transition a bit.
I assume most people would ask for a single or a double as their first choice. Since I chose a triple as my first choice, I figure I’m very likely to get into the plazas as opposed to being forced to live somewhere else because all my choices were nixed.
I know some of you want singles because you’re very private; I’m not private at all (no worries, I’m not going to walk around naked, I just don’t have a problem with people being in my space).

As far as when we’ll receive offers, I don’t know for sure, but I found a thread on the topic here that was created June 7, 2008. I imagine they’ll release the offers around the same time this year.

pinkerfloyd - i know, my financial aid is paying for it LOL and i lived in the res halls with my friends for the weekend. um not that greatest place to sleep… EVERYONE shares the bathroom/ shower ugh

i signed up for res plaza with private bath :D

b@lls- my thoughts exactly lol hence the reason why i chose triple. they hide your username lmao

I love how my name is always bleeped. I must be an untouchable. “mustn’t say his name…”

and, for good measure, it’s a reference to pool (billiards). I swear.

in a triple room, are there only 2 desks/closet space for 2?

it seems like that’s how the floor plan represents it.

thought so. it also shows there being one bunk bed. how is it decided who sleeps on the bunk bed and who gets the single? I am about 6 feet 6 and doubt I would fit on a bunk bed.

CCer group made a while ago… just in case.

[I got into UCLA, bitches. | Facebook](Facebook)

I’m almost positive I’m going. (99% sure because Stanford’s transfer admit rate is 1%)
Assuming I do, I am living off-campus. I am getting an apartment with my best friend and her best friends. (So expensive!)
I am a little worried about making new friends because they already have their huge group, and I don’t necessarily want to be tied to that (even though they are really nice). Plus, I’m not fantastic at meeting people on my own so living in assigned housing might have been good for me that way. However, it does not outweigh the knowledge of my roommates’ cleanliness. :)

Congrats everyone on getting in though!! Now there is all this logistic garbage to take care of.
