@MsStarlite There is a portal. Login with Last Name, Birth date, an UC Application number.

is it possible for a bioengineering applicant to get in w/o the likely letter?

@Heytheremate I’m on spring break, lololol. Most stressful break ever…

Release time at around 2pm pst?

@coolkat123 Only 40% of admitted engineer majors receive a likely letter. They are the top applicants. You can still get in even though you didn’t get a likely letter. You can be part of the 60%.

@Bouncer who told you it was 2pm? UCLA said “early evening” so we’ve assumed past 5pm…

@MsStarlite so far, yes that’s correct!

well, off to bed! next time i’m back will most likely be when decisions go live. i feel like i’ve said this one too many times, but seriously, good luck everyone! the wait is brutal, but hopefully the end result will be worth it (:

Any international students here? Do we still have a comparative advantage after the budget squeeze?

release time is ‘evening’. nvm Breezing already posted that.

@breezing good night, and good luck! (Cookies for you if you got the reference :D) Hopefully you’ll have good news for us tomorrow

Anyone else here apply that’s not a senior?

–deleted–

@chickeninabiskit Lol, have you been keeping yourself busy over break to keep your mind off of it or have you been lamenting about it at home all day everyday?

I’m feeling so jittery!

FYI guys Divergent was terrible.
But good luck to everyone tomorrow! I hope you all get in, even if I don’t. Every single one of you deserves it.

@coolkat123 UCLA is really big on a holistic view of candidates, so numbers aren’t the only things that make a person competitive. Essays and ec’s count a great deal; they can sometimes make up for not so great scores. A 4.29 gpa is pretty good though.

@reesee1231 that’s absolutely correct. I received an engineering likely and my high school GPA is pretty average…

How’s competition at UCLA for comp sci? Engineering is obviously competitive, but how does it rank in comparison to other engineering majors?

@Sarah2116 CS/CSE is 13% this year

@5oviet hmmm okay thanks for the help. At this point we wait and see
