@sike4123 it means you’re in. Congratulations!
@gratefulmama I received an invitation to apply for UCLA Regents without submitting a FAFSA. Since Regents is solely merit-based, I don’t think the chances of receiving it are impacted by whether or not you applied for financial aid.
@scarletwitchx WHOAA RLLY??? didn’t think i had a chance at LA…
@sike4123 do you mind me asking what your stats are that you didn’t think you were a strong candidate?
@Teumessian - I hope you are right. Thank you!
@dogrunner1
SAT: 2150
UC GPA: 4.22
SAT Physics: 730
SAT Math 2: 690
They aren’t rlly low, but I didn’t think they were UCLA worthy…
@sike4123 something must have caught their eye-awesome!! Good luck to you.
I got an email asking me to apply for alumni scholarships but didn’t have time to apply with all my AP classes. Does getting invited to apply mean I got in though?
How do you calculate a UC gpa?
Also- is there any thing on our UC app / portal that says our calculated UC gpa? Curious.
@nduclaunc
https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
check this link out for UC GPA !!
@nduclaunc i seem to remember there was a tool to put in your GPA and SAT score on the right hand side of the UC app screen and the UC GPA came up for you.
@zoeeeeeee101 An Alumni Scholarship invitation means you’re a top applicant - not a guarantee of admission but it’s a good indication!!
UCLA just posted today that decisions will be out on the seventeenth on Twitter. Just to let you all know!
Is a 4.2 UC GPA good?
Okay thank you!
Thank you dog runner and sike.
Can someone answer my question?
@WiltChamberlain
You being serious man? With a gpa that high, I think you can figure it out yourself. I don’t mean to be rude, but it’s annoying to see top students ask questions like they have a 1.0.
GODDAMN OF COURSE IT IS. Geez…
@potato16 with all the talk of how competitive college admissions are and how you need X GPA and Y SAT/ACT, it’s natural for people to feel insecure about their grades (no matter how good their grades are)!! there’s no need to have such a harsh response.
I see people on College Confidential with 4.5 or 4.6 UC GPA so yeah I just want to know if a 4.2 UC GPA is still good enough for UCLA.
