UCLA CLASS OF 2021 APPLICANT THREAD

also a psychobiology major!

Did anyone apply as a design media arts major? Just curious because I know the program doesn’t receive a huge amount of applicants, but they’re also incredibly selective.

@jbirdjbird Could go either way. Something in your app triggered a supplemental questiknaire. Wait till Friday.

I won’t be able to sleep for the next week! :confused: I applied to ucla as my long shot, being that my stats were pretty low, but I received the supplemental and became very eager to be accepted. My personal statements were pretty good and I overcame significant hardships (very low income, emotional problems). I’m just so nervous!!! :frowning:

Since the supplemental was given to borderline applicants, does that mean that for all other applicants our fate has already been decided (accepted/rejected)? asedrfghjnkml,

Just wondering, what types of majors are impacted? Is Neuroscience one? Thanks!!!

Is psychology capped?

@thenewstyped No it means they have enough info to decide.

@transmitter2342 @anaheim That info can be found on the ucla website.

@10s4life Do most students in engineering graduate in four years?

Do I still have a good chance at getting in if I didn’t get regents/special invites from any other UCs? I’ve gotten into all schools I applied to so far (Davis and cal poly where I got invited to apply to the honors program) but I didn’t recieve regents for Davis and didn’t get any scholarships for ucsb, ucla, or berk. Just curious, I’m getting a little nervous about my decision lol.

@tobers36 I believe in you.

So UCLA received over 100,000 applications. All decisions are coming out at 5 pm on 3/17. I’m imagining their server crashing with everyone trying to log on at once.

@SillyJillie423 :slight_smile:

yeah UCLA received a record breaking 102,000 freshman applications (not including transfer) this year, making it the first school to ever receive over 100,000 freshman applications. :-S That just made it harder for us to get in…

where/when did they release the information that decisions would be released on 3/17? is it just a rumor or is it credible?

@roonilwazlib100 ucla admissions twitter

@MiniGrace11 so I just looked up the account on twitter. the account isn’t verified and only has about 1,000 followers. it doesn’t check out tbh

@roonilwazlib100 It was also confirmed by and admissions counselor but I don’t have a source for that, you can try tweeting at the @UCLA twitter account to see whether they can confirm the date.

Does anyone know when UCLA will send out decisions? Thank you!
