@potatopotatoe Many people say that they can’t, but I think they might be able to see which ones you applied to. When I created a new password for UC davis’s portal it made me report each of the UC’s that I had applied to “as shown on your UC application.” Although it’s a bit concerning, I don’t think it should hold anyone back from applying to as many as they want. Also, I highly doubt that the UC’s can see the decisions other UC’s make about you.
also the colleges that you sent your FAFSA to can see the entirety of the list of schools you sent your FAFSA to. If taht makes sense?
my keyboard is not functioning right so apologies for grammar or spelling mistakes
@kirsten4624 As of the 2016/2017 school year they can’t see other schools via FAFSA anymore.
@ZHB1999 Oh thank goodness. Im relieved to hear that.
Hey guys so UCLA is my first choice college and I’m really stressed for decisions to come out this Friday. I would really appreciate if you could tell me my chances so I have a better idea of what to expect!
I’m in state and from a pretty competitive highschool (at least 90-100 students from my school probably applied to ucla)
Gpa- 3.66 unweighted, 4.18 cumulative weighted 9-11 and 4.27 weighted excluding freshman year
Act- 35, SAT math II- 770, national merit commendation
Took the hardest courseload possible (12 AP, 1 honors, 2 advanced), got a lot of B’s but never anything lower than a B
Extracurricular- played 4 years of a varsity sport (captain for 2 years), founded a club (officer for 2 years), officer for 2 more clubs, instrument for 9 years
Didn’t receive alumni scholarship request or regents for Berkeley. Got letter of Rec request from Berkeley and got into SD
@janeyyy05 Your stats look awesome! However, what’s your intended major?
Is a 4.04 UC GPA too low? Or can decent test scores and ECs make up for it?
@nepenthesrajah A 4.04 isn’t that low, so I definitely think your test scores and ECs can make up for it. My GPA isn’t that high either (it’s actually below the average for UCB & UCLA), so I was very surprised to receive a regents invite from Berkeley. I guess my my strong ECs balanced that out. Although UCs look at grades the most, I feel like they are starting to weigh extracurriculars more. Oh and based on your stats (sorry I stalked a little), I feel like you are a competitive applicant!! GOOD LUCK!!! : )))))
@Ramenous economics
@lanabanana99 Thanks hahaha. I would wish you good luck too but it seems like you’ve already made your own luck
not sure if someone already answered/ asked this, but what does it mean if ucla asks you to submit their supplemental? does that mean you’re a borderline applicant?
@janeyyy05 Economics, being an impacted major at most UC’s, will hinder your chances, but you’re definitely still a great applicant with your stats! It’s hard to tell completely since UC’s do holistic reviews, but I’d keep my head up with your stats and relax! If you don’t get in(I’m not expecting to get accepted but I’m hoping :)>- ) then UCSD is a great backup(Which I also got accepted in ) And there’s still UCB to hope for so all the luck!!!
@ndrhya Yes.
Guys major doesn’t matter for admissions unless you applied to a professional school.
@lanabanana99 would you mind me asking what your UC GPA is? That’s great that you received regents without you having your utmost confidence in your GPA!
Does UCLA send out trackable acceptance packages? My USPS is showing something coming from LA, but it doesn’t show it coming from a specific company…
@roonilwazlib100 I never calculated it, but my uw is 3.89 and I had a 4.2 w uncapped the time I applied. My UC GPA is probably under a 4.2. The average w GPA at UCB is a 4.42, which I think is RIDICULOUSLY high.

How are you even able to track it
@potato16 Through MyUSPS!
