UCLA Class of 2022 - Applicant Thread

@JennieJin If those are planned AP exams and you didn’t self report a score then you’re fine you don’t need to take them. You only need to submit scores for which you self reported a score for.

Yes those four I mentioned on last post are all planned exams, so in July, I can just send those two exams I will take in May and other previous received AP scores to UCLA right? I’m just worried that those untaken AP Planned exams may affect my offer. Thanks a lot!

This is what I could think of at the top of my head. I might’ve forgotten one or two things.

@MyDogsNameIsFat I’m going! What kind of performance are you thinking of?

@JettDama I was thinking of maybe doing some sort of multicultural performance incorporating the dances from the various Southeast Asian cultures. I personally do traditional Vietnamese dance, but there’s a ton of different things we can do as well!

I made a thread about it here: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-los-angeles/2068523-for-those-planning-to-attend-the-sea-event-talent-show-performance.html#latest

We can talk more about it more over pm if you want!!!

is the alumni legacy scholarship still a thing?? not the alumni scholarship, the alumni legacy one- it’s on the ucla website but when i click on it the website says the page can’t be found

Just got an email about the UBAA Winston C. Doby Legacy Scholarship Campaign for entering freshmen. Does anyone know how many people are invited to apply? The email states that they hope to award up to 40 scholarships.

Since I am an international student, I will have no scholarships and I will have to pay $240,000 to get a degree. Under the OTP, I will be able to work in the US for three years to earn and pay back the loan. @10s4life Consider I will be like 50th percentile in GPA among the UCLA graduates after 4 years, do you think I will be able to earn $90,000 in a year. [I have been accepted to HSSEAS to study Computer Science]

Well my D got into both with mediocre stats, so it depends on how much the college like you

Academically, how similar is UCLA (bio major) to a heavy AP load in HS in terms of rigor?

@ToUSAfromINDIA Yikes 240k is a lot of loans. We are talking med school territory. Tbh the average salary among graduating engineers from Ucla is around 76k. A 50% gpa is a 2.77. That won’t get you a 90k job. Even with that 90k jobs are typically in high COL areas and gets eaten up fast. You’d be in debt for a very long time. Is it worth the 4 years at Ucla? That’s up to you. Personally I wouldn’t go in that much debt for it.

Does anyone know the questions they ask during the alumni scholarship interview?

Alumni scholarship email!!!
