Last year, there was a wave for IS students on May 1st. I am pretty sure there may be one tomorrow too and it’s also reasonable if there is one tomorrow!
same here. My OOS son gladly admitted to UCSD Econ which is pretty good. Of course, either UCLA or UCB will be a plus!
does anyone know if people have gotten off the ucla waitlist without submitting their 7th semester grades before?
Any WL rejections yet?
Good Morning all, keeping fingers crossed today since it’s the last day to accept the offer. Sincerely hope things move somehow. It’s been super frustrating to be on the waitlist with no line of sight to end point. I know there are tons of variables into play with covid that UCLA didn’t anticipate but somehow we students are the one in anticipation. Good Luck to all for whatever college you go to …
Do community college. With promise program you may go tuition free for two years. You get guaranteed admission (TAG) to some UC, and you can still apply to UCLA; UCLA not guaranteed but has TAP program which gives some benefits as transfer applicant.
So, has anyone found out anything yet? Or will it be after 7 AM?
Nothing so far . Infact they may want the $250 UC deposits in case you are accepting another UC University. Every Penny is Important…
rip maybe no wave today… JEFFY ANGRY
Last year, they started sending emails out at 7 AM according to last year’s waitlist thread on CC.
7AM EST or PST
7 AM PST @2024Graduate
No I am pretty sure there is a wave today. Maybe at a later time because last year there were two consecutive waves on 4/30 and 5/1 @mynameisjeffy
it would make sense to have a wave today to fill any holes in SIRs bc after today i think yield will go down esp for students who have gotten excited about other options (just a theory)
No matter if there is a wave today or not but unless those who are badly relying on UCLA waitlist may still need to pay SIR as there isn’t much time for decision making between now and midnight. How brutal is this?
I really hope they send out decisions today. It’s not fair to leave us IS applicants hanging like this LOL.
It wouldn’t make a lot of sense to start admitting IS students before the SIR deadline (May 1, 11:59 pm) so it’s probably more likely to see an IS wave next week womp WOMP
Lol I want another os wave
But last year there was an IS wave on May 1st @mynameisjeffy
i think the number of students who were gonna sir to ucla on this date (as opposed to before) are very low and admissions could easily admit more students based on the numbers today (at least for in state since there were no in state waves and no extended deadlines)
