UCLA Drop Policy- UCLAri Respond Please and Others

I just had a couple of questions in regards to drops that I had during the past year when I completed my freshmen year.

During winter quarter, I enrolled in 4 courses. Around week three I decided maybe its better to drop a course. So I did so before the week four deadline. But I am going through URSA at the moment, and I clicked "View Grades & GPA "

I then looked at my grades for winter quarter. I see that all of the three classes I got grades had the status box read "Enrolled" but the one class I dropped read "Dropped" (I dropped the class during week 3). Is that just a indication for UCLA that I dropped the course or is that something permanent on the transcript? I checked my DPR and there is no indication of me dropping the course. I hope I am not worrying too much. UCLAri, I know you dropped a course, when you did was there a indication on your DPR. If that was the case, then I have nothing to worry about with that class.

Secondly, when I was registering for summer classes I added and dropped a lot of classes before I got my schedule perfect. I enrolled in three classes but I had dropped three other classes because of preference and time conflicts with my internship. I again logged on to, URSA and then I saw my three classes I am taking for summer sessions and the grades I got into two of my three classes so far. However, I noticed that the three classes I dropped before summer sessions started were listed as "Dropped" in the Enrolled status line.

Hopefully someone can assure me that I am fine. Last thing I need is to fu-- up my transcript after having a really successful first year.

I thought you can only drop class at the end of week 2. If you drop between week 3 and 4 you will get W on transcript. That was the old time though, not sure about now.

According to this site along with what my counselor told me it is fourth week without a notation. It was a non-impacted class, Ling. 1, you just have to pay a five dollar and I was fine.

If someone that has dropped a class past the deadline and received a notation, let me know was there a notation on your dpr.

this is what i am talking about, i have red D's as well.

For the record, the only way D's will show up on your transcript is if you drop the course after the final exam. Otherwise, you should be fine. (I talked to Murphy Hall about this the other day.)
