UCLA electrical engineering pre-reqs

<p>does anyone know how many of what classes i would have to take?</p>

<p>Assist.org is your new best friend.</p>

<p>i used it, but there was only a UCLA TO UCSD one...is that one correct?</p>

<p>That's not true. Just go to the site, pick the school you're at NOW, then choose an articulation agreement with UCLA for Electrical Engineering and you should be good to go.</p>

<p>okay, so i used it, but it doesn't say that i need 2 CS classes at the top</p>

<p>it also doesn't say that i need 2 quarters of chemistry</p>

<p>the transfer admission guide for ucla says that i need those 2 </p>

<p>i'm confused!</p>

<p>UCLA Transfer Admission Guide > Assist</p>

<p>More info: Electrical</a> Engineering B.S.</p>

<p>they definitley require chemistry.
try assist.org again , read carefully</p>

<p>According to the EE B.S. site on ucla, i'll need:
Required: Chemistry and Biochemistry 20A; Computer Science 31, 32; Electrical Engineering 1, 2, 3, 10, M16 (or Computer Science M51A); Mathematics 31A, 31B, 32A, 32B, 33A, 33B; Physics 1A, 1B, 4AL, 4BL.</p>

<p>THe only thing on assist.org was "TO:UCSD FROM:UCLA"</p>

<pre><code> - Calculus I-for Science and Engineering (Math. 20A)

- Calculus II-for Science and Engineering (Math. 20B)

- Calculus and Analytic Geometry (Math. 20C)

- Differential Equations (Math. 20D)

- Linear Algebra (Math. 20F)

- Complete calculus-based physics series with lab experience

(Physics 2A-B-C)

- Chemistry 6A (except computer science and computer engineering

majors)

Note: Effective Fall 2007, a total of ten quarter-units of general

chemistry equivalent to UCSD's Chem 6 courses (including laboratory)

will be required for students applying to all majors offered by the

Department of Bioengineering.

- Highest level of introductory computer programming language course

offerings at the community college (except structural engineering

department majors)**

</code></pre>

<p>also, it doesn't mention anything about a computer science course...i'm sure assist only has transferring from ucla to ucsd</p>

<p>You keep on saying that you are pretty sure that Assist only has it from UCLA to UCSD, so how come I could get one for Moorpark to UCLA?
Here's the link: ASSIST</a> Report: MOORPARK 07-08 UCLA Articulation Agreement by Major</p>

<p>And here's how I got there.
go to assist.org -> under the "Explore Transfer Information" click the drop down and select the institution you're transferring from -> Select "UCLA" from the agreements with other campus drop down list -> Select "Electrical Engineering BS" from the major drop down list</p>

<p>And it should be able to give you information such as this:
The agreement you selected was not available for 08-09. The agreement for 07-08 is shown instead.</p>

<p>Admission to the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science
(HSSEAS) at UCLA is highly competitive. The most important selection criteria
are completion of the required preparatory courses and academic performance. A
minimum UC-transferable cumulative GPA of 3.20 is required for consideration.
Preparatory courses should be completed by the end of the Spring term prior to
Fall enrollment. All courses must be taken for a letter grade. HSSEAS admits
students by major and does not consider applicants for alternate majors.</p>

<p>Applicants are not required to complete the HSSEAS General Education
Requirements in order to be admitted, although it is beneficial for students to
complete 1 course from each of the following areas: arts, humanities, social
sciences, and life sciences. While IGETC Certification is not recognized by
HSSEAS, students may reference the IGETC courselist to make their course
selections.</p>

<p>For more information regarding this major and UCLA's transfer selection process,
please refer to UCLA</a> Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science and UCLA</a> Undergraduate Admissions. If you still
have specific questions, you may email the HSSEAS admission office at
<a href="mailto:misuk@ea.ucla.edu">misuk@ea.ucla.edu</a>.</p>

<p>how would i know which courses correspond with which ucsd ones?</p>

<p>also, i would have to take 3 chem courses? i heard i only had to take one or two...</p>

<p>thanks!</p>
