UCLA Eligibility by Examination

Hello folks,

Is anyone familiar with UCLA's "Eligibility by Examination alone" policy?

They seem to be the only college in the US I could find that does something like this. I have very good SATs and qualify under this policy, but a low GPA, and other life achievements and challenges I could point to...

Thanks!

Yes, tests alone will qualify your for admissions to the Univ of California, but not necessarily your first choice campus. (btw: Eligibility by Examination is typically used by homeschoolers.)

Good luck.

I qualify also, as an OOS. So this means I would automatically be accepted into any UC school?

Automatically accepted into A UC school. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can express your preference but they ultimately decide...

Otherwise everyone would be in at Berkeley

Okay, thank you for clarifying. I thought that sounded a little fishy...

Has anyone ever heard of someone getting into UCLA or Berkeley under this system?
