UCLA Engineering?

How prestigious is UCLA Engineering? Is it considered a top Engineering program?
I've always known that UCLA is a top school, but after talking to some people I don't know what to think any more. I've heard people say Michigan, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Georgia Tech, etc. are a lot better, even though they have a lot higher acceptance rates? What do you guys think? + Whats the overall reputation?

If you’re looking strictly at the prestige of the engineering schools, upper mid-tier/ lower high-tier engineering schools (UCLA + the schools that you listed) are all about the same in terms of getting internships and job offers.

Instead, the big difference between these schools is location, weather, extracurricular opportunities, social life, connections (Alumni, profs, classmates, etc.), research and project opportunities. UCLA has an abundant amount of opportunities for you, and you’ll land a great job/internship if you get really involved on campus and do well academically. I’m pretty sure this applies to any of the above listed schools.

IMO, the difference in Engineering program prestige is really only apparent when you compare and contrast with top-level engineering programs (MIT, CMU, Stanford, etc.)

Take it with USNWR and don’t think too much into it. They’re a measure of opinion anyways.

Maryland is not better than us and Virginia Tech is in a much lower league.

Here’s the chart for undergraduate program:

Virginia, Maryland, and UCLA aren’t even charted.

Michigan or Georgia Tech are wise choices.
