Also guys, even though spring semester is basically over and final grades may not have been posted yet they still want us to send in fall 2019 transcripts and then spring 2020 transcripts. I told a lady from admissions final grades will be posted in a few days and if I should just wait to send in my final Spring 2020 transcripts and she said you have to send them in twice. So send them now ASAP and once my grades are finalized send them again… idk if you guys were told a different thing but this is what they told me, better to send them in just in case but remember they said we wont be penalized if they receive them late, our account will just be on a hold.

@uclahopeful4 I did not write much in the space. I wrote two average paragraphs. My GPA is a 3.69 (now it will be a 3.7 soon). I only wrote why I was interested in the school. In the first paragraph, I wrote a small story that correlated to why I was interested. I also figured that the reason they gave us an essay is to describe why do you want to be a part of this school. So, I described my journey and the importance of value. The second paragraph was about what I look forward to doing once being admitted. That is pretty much it. I am rooting for you! Best of luck.

@uclahopeful4 my gpa i think is about 3.77. for the statement, i wrote an analogy between starbucks and ucla and how the busy working environment at starbucks has pushed and challenged me and made a comparison about how in terms of my education, ucla is my starbucks as their competitive atmosphere would challenge me to better myself and allow me to rebuild myself as someone who is capable because i’m usually someone who avoids being out there and doing what is easy. and i pretty much expressed how i need a shot to prove myself and if given the chance to go to ucla, i wouldn’t throw that shot away. i didn’t write much, only about 400 words. i hope you hear back soon!! its scary waiting but don’t lose hope! good luck!

I got off the waitlist 6-6-2020!! I didn’t receive an email which was kinda suspect but just happy to be in now!! My major was political science with a 3.71 and two major preps in progress. I was very disheartened seeing people comment that poli sci majors didn’t have much luck getting off the waitlist but this year has shown anything is possible. To everyone still waiting please keep your head held high, regardless of the outcome. I hope everyone gets in and if you don’t, just make the best of whatever school you got in, you’ll make a home of it.

I think a big wave is coming for international students, cuz all I’ve been seeing is in state… keep ur head up everyone.
In state coming from a cc also! No TAP my gpa was also below the 25% average (GPA 3.65) for my major so don’t be disheartened if you have not heard back! In the LOCI I used up all the space saying why I wanna go to UCLA, why I deserve to be there and what I have to offer the school. Grade update as well. I also put what I have been doing since I applied that was non academic related (IMPORTANT!!!) shows that you are well rounded. I think my statement helped me stand out among other people waitlisted in my major with higher gpa’s than me because I put a lot of effort into it which probably showed that I was passionate and invested. Although, I know some people that didn’t put anything and still got off the waitlist. But there is still time left, good luck to you all that are still waiting!

Does anyone know if you can still apply for on-campus housing if you just got off the waitlist? I heard the deadline was June 1st, but most of us got off recently
