Why is Berkeley releasing so early this year :o?
@90smix Contact the UC Application Center and they will notify the UCs that you applied to.
Anybody watching the fortnite tournament?
Haha really hoping that they release decisions around on the 17th
I’m glad that Berkeley’s releasing their decision so early this year
@HeyItsNick thank youuu
Do you guys know of any other places like a forum or fb page I could check to find other people with the same major
Try UCLA reddit.
Found a guy in my intended major from the ucla reddit, I second that
I know I’m definitely getting ahead of myself, but does anyone know when transfer orientation/ events of that nature are scheduled for admitted transfer students? I don’t even know if those dates have been released, but I’ll be in Korea until the end of May and I REALLY want to go!!
@bruins8clap I guess it would be sweet if UCLA releases their decisions on the 25th. I wanna be in the theatres watching Avengers when I get an email to check out my decision and see that I’d get accepted! It would be an odd experience lol
Transfer orientation, where you register for classes etc. Is July/early august for UCLA.
@gokingsgo1999
The dates are out for all these actually. Bruin Day for transfers is May 11th according to: https://bruinday.ucla.edu/
Required Orientation available days for 2019 are here: http://newstudents.ucla.edu/orientation-programs/transfer-students/#tab-id-2
Seems like you would miss bruin day, but I wouldn’t worry about any actual required orientations.
@mpineda3247 thank you!! I just want to meet people and make new friends ?
Do you think I have a good chance of being admitted with a 3.72 GPA with many extracurricular activities and strong essays? I previously volunteered and interned at some nonprofits companies. I had a gap in a semester due to medical leave though. I am considered low income with a disability who lives alone. I am currently considered “independent” from FAFSA due to my circumstances. I intend to major in a new Public Affairs major within the Luskin School of Public Affairs that is part of the College of Letters and Sciences.
@justint95 hey man this link here is a good way to gauge GPA vs the major you’re in. This shows so much insightful data, including how many students were admitted to your major last year that went to your CCC.

@Trashception I couldn’t find their major from the site, which makes sense since they mention that it is new. So unfortunately, no one can accurately chance them.
@Trashception @jedenic I tried looking at that data sheet and could not find anything. I was going to compare it to the Political Science major, but this major I am looking to has a different selection process. This major has admissions evaluated by faculty of Luskin Public Affairs instead of the Undergraduate Admissions office from the Letters and Sciences.
@bruins8clap @mpineda3247 I just looked there but all I find are posts from last years or random things. Is there a page about this upcoming fall trasnfer that I’m just missing?
@Princetonian9 try sorting out your search results by most recent posts.
Just go on UCLA reddit make a post saying : “Anyone major in X?”
Where X is your major. Then people will reply. You ask them questions about it.
