@bean01262020 On the Daily Bruin article(s). The freshman/transfer applicants.
Finally my turn to post on here after almost a year of looking at everyones stats!

Based off what I have seen the mods tell people, you should resubmit the TAU with your adjusted class schedule!
do you guys know when decisions will come out?? i think it’ll be april 22 but i’m not sure
@uclagorl it looks like last year they came out on April 24th so April 22nd seems like a good projection!
Hello please chance me.
Major: Computer Science and Engineering
GPA: 4.0
I did community college in high school and since I did not get into UCLA last year, I decided to stay a year and apply as a transfer.
Credits to be completed by Spring 2020: 92.5 quart + 14.5 AP Credits
EC:
Teaching kids coding
Software internship in Bay Area high tech company
a bunch of high school extracurriculars as well
Deans List multiple times
Women in TECH extracurriculars
Applied to: USC, UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCD, UCSB, UCSC, UCI, UCR
I also got an email for regents to UCI and UCD.
Did anyone else just receive the invite to apply for the Alumni Scholarship?
@snakejyder yeah I got that email too! Does this mean something good for our chances?
@snakejyder I got it as well.
@snakejyder I got it as well
I got the transfer alumni scholarship email as well, is it sent out to everyone?
Do we really have to have 90 quarter units already completed as of right now rather than as of the end of Spring semester/quarter to be able apply for the Alumni scholarship?
From the UCLA Transfer Alumni Scholarship page: “At the time they apply, applicants must have completed the equivalent of 90 UC-transferable quarter units, at least half of them from community colleges.”
End of spring.
@zekogmo Not sure how much it relates to our chances. But it definitely made me anxious seeing UCLA in the subject line lol
@Ohm888 I am an OOS student but I have taken enough Community College Credit to be considered a “Community College” Transfer.
The thing, is I am taking OOS classes concurrently with Community College classes. Given this, do you know if the UCs look at me as an OOS student or as a Community College applicant?
Also, I have more Community College Credit than OOS credit. I meet the 90 Quarter Unit minimum with Community College credit + AP Credit alone.
Does anyone know if you must have a 3.75 gpa at the time of applying? I have a 3.73 gpa and I received an email inviting me to apply. If I were to bring up my gpa to a 3.75+ this semester, would that be sufficient?
I got it too! Do yall know if this impacts our admission?
I got the e-mail too! I am excited to apply. I hope this bodes well for all of our admission chances
Don’t mean to be a partypooper but this is what it says toward the end of the email:
“Please note that this invitation to apply for the Alumni Scholarship does not constitute an offer of admission nor does it infer any likelihood of admission.”
