Hi I applied for statistics major with 3.9 GPA (I have B in English 1). I’m not really expecting to get in because I have no TAP and no honor classes. I received a transfer degree for math (for Cal State Schools?) however I am missing one class in igetc for UC, foreign language. I am taking a statistics class but I couldn’t take the recommended computer class, the 1st intro class in the cc I go to doesn’t count. My GPA may be lowered from physics. I took it because some of the Cal State schools need it for the math/statistics major but not for UCLA…

I applied only because I qualified for a fee waiver and because the counselors and professors told me I should try to go to a UC (they didn’t mention TAP to me). I admit there is a piece of me that hopes I get in. oh well

@mathcoral hi!! i’m also a stats major. did you finish the calculus series?

@rainofserein Hello! Yes, i finished the calculus series

Hi, I applied as a Pre Data Theory major. One of the requirements was to complete calculus up to multivariable. However, I wasn’t able to sign up for the multivariable class and couldn’t take it. I finished all my other pre-reqs. I’m wondering if that pretty much brings my chances down to zero.

Hi there @god1235lord,

I think it depends on what college your major falls under. If it falls under engineering, then unfortunately a single missing pre-req can zero your chances. However, for other colleges, it may be different. For example, under Letters and sciences, they say to just take as many pre-reqs as possible, so you may still be in the game.

Hi I finished IGETC and I took all the pre-req except one physics class…
will it affect to my decision?/
im math major and I think it is added on this spring’;

Any public affairs majors on here?

@god1235lord Hi. I’m a data theory major too. For ucla, they said for any math majors, multi variable is required to be considered on their transfer admissions guide. Hopefully they let it slide.

Any film transfers here? I think I’ll get rejected bc I didn’t get invited for an interview :frowning:

@buddy1230
Hi there. Yes I am film transfer too. I got an interview but not the scholarship email. Don’t worry there have been people accepted without interview in past. Wish you the best.

Did anyone apply for DMA major? Did you guys get some sort of an invitation thru email?

Hey I’m a DMA major and I didn’t get any emails from them :neutral:

Same I haven’t received anything from them yet. I guess we’ll just have to find out this week when decisions come out :frowning:

@carmen2098 dma too, no email/notif

I wonder if DMA is going to accept more people in this year. They barely accept any transfers I heard.

Any coms majors? If so, what are your stats?

If accepted, will UCLA signify whether or not you received the alumni transfer scholarship within the financial aid packages? Or will those results be given later

@carmen2098 the acceptance rate for transfers used to be 5% (for several yrs up until 2018) but they recently updated 2019’s stats and it went up to 8% lol. not much, but i think it’s still a good thing.

admits ranged around 7-8 ppl (out of ~220) for 5% admit rates. last yr (2019, 8%) was 17 ppl out of 260+ applicants

(i just realized the #s dont add up perfectly since 17/260 is closer to 6% but thats just what the site says ??)
