I’m a current UCLA student, transferred in this Fall. Right now, I am in a study room on the hill, procrastinating on a final paper lol. Just popping by to wish everyone the best of luck. This is an exciting time and it’ll fly by so quickly. I remember being obsessed with learning about this school and religiously checking CC, especially around decisions season. And now I’m here slowly rotting lol. In all seriousness, enjoy this process and the rest of your time at CC, because things will speed up and change a lot once you make it to a four-year. I mean this in the best way possible. Keep your grades up but don’t forget to stop and enjoy everything going on around you!
@ the person mentioning that their con is being a 1-year transfer. No worries, there are a handful of us here. If you need reassurance, explore the one-year UC thread from last year. Plenty of us made it into UCLA and Cal.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to message me. I’ll get back to you ASAP. Be concise on your PIQs, really try to answer the “so what” parts of your story.
@jedenic
I can’t PM for some reason so I’ll just reply.
Do you think I’m in a solid situation for a one-year transfer?
Major: Data Theory (new major)

no IGETC
Major Prep: Finished by spring 2020 (just need calc 3 and lin alg/ diff equ)
Also, do you have any tips for one year transfers? What do you think separated you and why UCLA chose you instead of other traditional transfers? Deadline for Apps are coming
Hello all, always lurking on here so I figured I’d throw my stats out for some insight.

Major Prep: Completed all at current CC. Will complete the stats requirement in Winter and another prereq in the spring at another CC to fulfill the requirements for UCLA specifically. Will be missing “Politics and Strategy” due to no CC near me offers an equivalent. (Currently my biggest worry, any input on the situation would be greatly appreciated)

Not going to lie, though I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished in CC, but you all are on a different level. Very impressed with everyone’s profile and I wish all of you the best in the coming months. Also, happy holidays!
Hello, I recently submitted my apps but although I’m not the strongest applicant out there, maybe admissions might get my application last and decide to randomly let me in lol. Anyways, here are my stats below:

Applied to: UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCR, UCSC and a couple Cal States.
I bid good luck to other applicants in hopes of getting in!
@Warp776 As a fellow political science major, I must say your stats are impressive. The recent transfer stats for our shared major are intimidating to say the least. I believe the range was 3.78-4.00. However, your GPA is still near perfect and your investment in your club is obvious. Along with TAP, I’d deem you a competitive applicant. Good luck and I hope to see your acceptance in the near future.

Hi, I have a quick question. When submitting my application I forgot to list the associate degrees I will be getting. Will this hurt my chances? And if so, should I call and let them know that I will be getting an associate’s degree? Thanks!
