Ahhh we got this y’all. At this point, we all agree we’re too tired to keep the hype up, and it is also too late to change anything. I suggest we all buy ourselves a milkshake and sip it down until results are out. Our stress is not worth it for the current situation we’re in.
Admissions officers know what schools use the ± system and take that into account when evaluating gpas. They know somebody who got a 90% will be marked as an A in one school and an A- in another
ohhh got it thanks! hope they do spend that level of detail on each app hahah
hahaha yes eating all of my cravings ever since last wednesday’s false alarm
When you’ve been doing that job for a few years you encounter the same schools people are applying from. There aren’t that many community college’s that sends out many transfers to UCs, its dominated by a few
How sure are we that UCLA is going to release the decision on Wednesday?
Regent’s invites went out this Wednesday and usually that means decisions will be out 1 week later.
Wait what are the Regent’s invites? I didn’t receive anything.
They’re emails sent to the top 1-2% of applicants inviting them to apply to the Regents Scholarship. If someone gets the email, it’s usually a guarantee that you’re going to be accepted.
I didn’t get one either but good luck!
can you get into ucla and uc Berkeley
anyone here applying for transferring to UCLA is from a UC school? Heard it is very hard for students tranferring from one UC school to anther?
4.0Gpa, Econ, from Socal cc
Accepted: ucsb, ucd
Rejected: ucb, uci(business)
Pending: ucla, ucsd
Hopefully I get into ucla, but my chance of
getting into ucla seems to be slim now
Are Regents invites common for out of state students?
I’m a CA cc student, so I’m not too sure if OOS students get the invites often. Sorry about that!
Same question…
It happens, but it is EXTREMELY rare.
I’m applying from UCSB! They say it’s difficult, but UCLA is apparently pretty nice to intercampus transfers in the process, relative to the other UCs. The main difficulty is in planning because ASSIST doesn’t work as well (there’s no agreement for transfer from one UC to another). Another thing that makes it tough is that you need a reason, so essays become extremely important for those types of transfers.
harder than applying from a CC hehe. I also earned an AA in my major, while taking classes at UCSD. 4.0 gpa. grad from hs last year but would be a junior transfer. slim chance but but still had to try =)
why do people say if you get into Berkeley you can’t get into UCLA?
How common is it to get rejected from Berkeley but get accepted to UCLA?
