i’ve read the rejection letters from past years so many times that i’ll be completely unphased at my incoming rejection

They probably don’t want to commit themselves to a date because predicting the progress of application reading is tricky, especially when you’re UCLA.
Being coy isn’t endearing even if you’re on the desired side of the decision, so I don’t think that’s it.
it’s concerning that they say this 24 hours before our speculated date though…
I actually did go to youtube to see a decision reaction and it turned out to be a rejection to UCLA

I just saw the UCLA post on IG and honestly why do they LIE?? lmao what is the point? just tell us it’s the last week anyways smh
exactly. at this point, all i can say is that if it is NOT tomorrow, the most we would have to wait is 2 more days. if they push it to May, they will lose a lot of people so they should consider that
right! it’s so annoying bc i’m over here just waiting on them while UCI housing gets filled up. I’m so upset at them but imma still go tho like a CLOWN

me tooo UCI is where I’ll go if I don’t get in and i really want a single and am scared that they’re all taken or something ughh it’s so frustrating and unfair
SAMEEE! i don’t even mind a roommate at this point bc I know housing is getting filled up rn as we speak. On top of that, I have to wait a day after submitting my SIR before I can apply for housing. It’s so inconsiderate 
it’s sooooo unfair but on the brightside, maybe not many transfers have committed yet because of UCLA so maybe we will not be tooo bad off? i looked into off campus ones and they look nice so i’m hoping something is available

that’s true! i’m gonna look for off-campus ones too. the only thing is that i wanted to be close to campus
there are a bunch closeby that look rlly nice and have pools and stuff, I just hope singles are left!! but seems like most people will do transfer dorms or live on campus (esp since not everyone will have cars) so that is giving me hope

Anyone apply as a linguistics major? I got rejected from UCB but I’m still holding out hope for UCLA since their admit rate for ling is way higher.

long-time lurker here. i applied to berkeley as linguistics and got in- my GPA was like a 3.7 or smthng. I got TAP for la, so I’ll post if I get accepted or not. But yeah, linguistics is specified as being impacted at b***eley, so hopefully you’ll be gud w la. :))
