He clearly stated this can only be done on release day. Tentatively April 15. Before regular decision release. For example, 12 noon PST. Hope this clears up any confusion.
I know you wouldn’t know but what if the person gets waitlisted, would the trick still work?

Are you assuming April 15th? Or did the admissions office clarify that it’s the date for admission notice? My friend got accepted to UCLA last year as a transfer, she didn’t hear back until April 28th.
I honestly(selfishly) hope it’s not April 15, I would spend my entire spring break worrying
Transfer alumni scholarship applications are going to be reviewed on April 16th. The ASC calendar proves this to be true. There’s a link to the calendar somewhere in the chat. ASC only reviews alumni scholarship applications of applicants who have already been admitted to UCLA. Additionally, a day after freshmen decisions were released, ASC began reviewing freshmen alumni scholarship applications.
