UCLA Fast Track Electrical Engineering Program

Hey guys. I just got an email from the program (shown in title) that stated how they would consider me to be a part of the program if I got into UCLA. Also, after replying back that I was interested, a first year student emailed me wanting to call me to discuss choosing colleges and other topics. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this program and if you could share about it, and if the email entails a likely letter of getting into the school, especially when they are asking me to join the program when I’m not even admitted into UCLA yet?

Also does anyone know how many people get this email because I feel like I don’t have any good credentials for them to contact me

Hi! First off to make sure this is not a hoax (I am not sure if official Fast Track Notifications have come out yet) please check the email address and make sure it has a @ucla.edu or @engineering.ucla.edu or any kind of identifier that would associate it with UCLA. I am not a member of fast track but I am a UCLA Engineering Ambassador and have friends in the program so I am familiar with it. Fast track is essentially an “honors” type program for exceptional EE students. There are a lot of benefits you get with the program that make it an enticing offer. While not the official likely letter (Thats the Please Come to Discover Engineering one) it means you are a top applicant and you have pretty much been admitted. Congrats and feel free to ask me any other questions.

Thanks so much! @10s4life I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions

@10s4life I was invited to Fast Track almost a month ago, but I just learned that I was waitlisted from UCLA… Do you know why this could happen?

@boloking Being invited does not mean you are guaranteed admission.
