UCLA Football '07/'08

Alllllllrighty guys, big game today. Huge game!

Win and we still have something to fight for, lose and we're completely thrown out of the season, no other crazy ass possibilities. Fin. This thread dies here.

Lets go Bruins!!!!!!!

clap clap clap * clap* clap clap clap clap U! clapclapclap C! clapclapclap LLLLLLLL clapclapclap A! clapclapclapU C L A FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

Yay, I feel like a cheerleader. :p

"Who does your mother want you to be?" Bruins!"
"Who does Al-Qaida hate you to be?" Bruins!
"Who does the universe want you to be?" Bruins!

lol

"I want all men, women, and children on their feet!"

Hahaha, I love that guy..

**** you Christian Taylor. That stupid ass could've cost us the game. Unbelievable..

Fumble turnover UCLA, nice..

Perez is the mofuggin man, lets hear it for Aaron. Punt to the one yard line and out, just PERFECT..

I take back my comment on Christian Taylor, he's the man. Fumble for a recovery on the thirty.

And as I'm typing this Osaar throws for an interception, just great. Great great great, why I have hope for this team I don't know.

Well, it's over. I'm not feeling that bad, though, surprisingly. We played a good game but just couldn't clinch it in a few key plays. Overall, however, we had a solid game, good defense as usual, alright offense for the first time in a while. Osaar played well and proved if he had been given reps this year as a QB he could've won games for us. And not to mention the last play had me on my heels for a second, left me with a smile on my face instead of feeling down. So overall solid game, I don't leave dissapointed.

Now all that's left to do is screw up SC's chances at anything again this year. Forget about Oregon, we need to let them win to make the Pac-10 look good, but let's take down SC again..

Yeah, mistakes sums up the game. The D gave us some breaks, but still the mistakes could have give up the upset.

Breazell's pass to the wide open receiver = - 6 points

Bruce Davis's frustration = - 3 points

Rashaan's interception in 4th quarter = -3 points (they were in 4 down territory, and 20 net yards could have put Forbath in FG range if only he threw it away)

ATV deciding to run while being in triple coverage on a punt return (lost a few minutes)

Pass to Joe Cowan wasn't called for pass interference.

Terence Austin's fair catch inside the 10.

But here's the breaks UCLA got:
- Terence Austin's return
- Slater's return
- ASU's fumble in the red zone
- ASU's second string get pancaked by Christian Taylor
- ASU's punt returning calling a fair catch inside the 10 also.

So all you Dorell haters, it's not his fault this game. Rashaan was of course inefficient, but what can you expect from him? He made some good plays, but he has to learn to throw the ball away instead of scramble and lose a few yards. I would have liked to see UCLA run some trick plays, like their traditional reverse with Breazell . .

Didn't they do one of those? I'm pretty sure Breazell threw to a wide open Meadows and butterfingers dropped it.

I agree with mehathunder. The only thing left to do is beat USC. At this point I want to see Oregon in the NC game.

Yeah, megathunder, I was pretty upset at butterfingers (and so was everyone). I thought that the agressive defensive scheme was better fit for this game.

I was referring to the around the end reverses that Breazell usually gets (fake to Bell, have Breazell run around the tail) instead of the flea flicker.

Anyways, who do the Bruins have behind Forcier? What's his style like?

Forcier is the redshirt freshman QB 5th on the depth list, right? Dunno anything about him.

Yeah, I realized after I posted you probably meant that hand-off where Breazell comes around hella wide and runs opposite to the o/d-line flow..

Oregon's game during Thanksgiving week right? Can't go :[

You know, UCLA brethren, the Pac-10 is better off financially if two teams go to BCS bowl games (NCG and Rose).

Therefore, Oregon winning out is the best thing for the Pac-10 right now. And ASU or USC winning out will likely put one of them in the Rose Bowl.

I looked on scouting and Forcier is a 4 star recruit. That's pretty interesting. I know it's better to start a guy with 2 years under the system, but why not try having a true freshmen Forcier call the plays and move Rashaan to wideout?

I don't like seeing Rashaan scrambling all over the place, run-first QB . .

He needs to learn to throw the ball away instead of run every single time he can not pass the ball right away.

Yeah, he definitely hasn't learned to maneuver with confidence in the pocket yet. It seems like he scrambles around and if he doesn't find a receiver right away he gets jittery and tries to find a hole to run. But I think he has potential and we should start him next season. He only has a year left while we have a solid couple more years for Forcier to learn the ropes..

Please. This whole team fails to adjust to situations when they need to. You can say it's the individual players but the fact remains that this team doesn't look like a dominant team. It doesn't look like the team it could and should be. They had essentially the same team as last year, were ranked as high as 11, and thanks to not being prepared week in and out have become a joke and (in all certainty) wont make a bowl. At least it pretty much assures dorell's dismissal.

Go Forbath?
