UCLA grounds for appeal??

is your mother, and provider's, suicide when 15 years old adequate grounds for appeal?

This was not talked about on my UC app..

furthermore, the incident induced depression and casted other negative, debilitating events that caused my grades to suffer. 3.25 gpa... going to be 3.35 after this semester

do you guys think this will be looked at seriously?

Any significant information (this is obviously significant) that did not previously appear on your application will definitely not hurt and you should appeal, by all means.

^
I agree with this but also keep in mind that the Appeals Committee has been told ahead of time to prepare to read some tragic stuff, so…I’m not saying it won’t work, but just know that there’s a bunch more people with situations like yourself using the same sort of explanation, it doesn’t hurt to try though and I wish you the best of luck!
