UCLA Housing

So, I have lots of questions about this...

1.Is there any way to maximize chances of getting housing at UCLA?
2.I heard UCLA housing is bad? Why is this?
3.What's the best choice building to pick for housing?

I'm not picky in terms of size but there is one thing I refuse to compromise and that is a bathroom. The idea of communal bathrooms sounds/is disgusting to say the least.

Thanks for your replies!

Apply early... It affects your chances of getting parking(which is already slim to none)

I personally prefer the offcampus apartments since I prefer to eat in my home. If you don't want to cook and want to be ultra more social, then dorm.
Comparing my place(off campus studio) with a dorm in say sunset village, mine is about 4 times bigger. But I got lucky and got one of the studios without a balcony. I got an entire roof instead =)

Otherwise, studios are comparable size of dorm rooms. With the exception of a full kitchen/private bathroom/walk-in closet. So still way bigger.

Its pretty quiet in the apartments. Although, everyone seems to know everyone.

Zuma Housing has many options from whole apartment to private/shared rooms for young professional and students. All of their apartments are fully furnished and they cover all utilities, cable and internet. Just visit them in Westwood or go on their website. It’s zumahousing.com… Good luck :)
