I noticed when I was admitted that I did not have a Provisional Financial Aide Estimate. When I checked additional forms, it notified me all of my documents were received (FAFSA was the only one listed). I called them today and, after looking up my file, the lady told me I was actually selected to turn in verification forms as well, and they couldn't create an award letter without it. She went on to say that, normally I would have been emailed and notified of this, but they must have forgotten to send my email out back when they did everyone else. Cool.

So now I still have no idea of how much aide I can get from them. I know that the longer it takes them to receive necessary forms, the less aide I may be eligible for, which annoys the hell out of me because none of this was my own doing. Do you guys think I am at a big disadvantage at this point for awards?

They’re just ■■■■■■■ with you dude, congrats you got regents

They’re just pulling your leg, it means you have regents scholarship. Congrats

What do you guys mean?! I just spent all morning scrambling documents together and faxing it to them… How do you guys know? and if true, does that mean I didnt have to actually send them anything?

No you’re good. You shouldn’t have to send any documents, you can but it might put you at risk for having your regents reviewed and revoked. I’d say don’t send anything

lol the ■■■■? Send your papers dude, they need it. You would’ve been noticed if you won the Regents already.

Had him convinced too…

Wait, did you SIR already?

Hahaha not cool guys. I’m seriously frustrated over this!
Nah I haven’t sent an SIR.

Well at least we know it’s not regents.

@Freetofly112 FAFSA Received From Processor (CPS) Received 4/15/2014 4/15/2014

that’s what it says on myUCLA for me. What does it say for you?

I think you have a good chance at still getting something, most transfer students I know are waiting on Berkeley before completing their SIRs.

The exact same. There was nothing there asking for additional forms, which is part of the reason I want to grab a pitchfork and go to UCLA FAO

So what additional documents are they asking for? Everything should be in your FAFSA already unless they mean they want direct copies of your ID and SSN and stuff

@CaliEconTransfer I hope so…

@onehandedred the lady told me to fill out a dependent verification form and fax it to them, along with 1098’s, W-2’s, and etc. I just finished doing this.

The award letters only came out just a few days ago, so you’re not that late. Besides, that means other people are waiting on their rewards too so I think there won’t be much difference if any.

I just called them again, and the lady I spoke with this time said that I’ll be receiving the letter today or tomorrow and that dependency verifications are not necessary for the generation of the letter at all…

And now I’ve received an email telling me they DO need the dependency verifications. +_+
Either way, I’ve sent one anyhow. Nothing else to do at this point.
If anyone else hasnt received their EPAL, I would make sure they have everything they need from you.
