UCLA or Berkeley (Philosophy student and future MBA student)

My situation:
-Will save $20k going to UCLA
-Want to get an MBA
-Doing undergrad in Philosophy

I know Berkeley is much more oriented toward business but I’m doing Philosophy for my undergrad. Is there any benefit to me as a Philosophy student planning to do grad school in business to go to Berkeley over UCLA, given I’ll save $20k at UCLA? My end goal is to get into the best business school possible after undergrad, which means I will also be applying to the ivy leagues.

IMO there is no benefit to UCBerkeley in your case.
Keep in mind that to get into a top MBA program one typically needs a very high GPA, excellent recommendations, very strong GMATs, an otherwise stellar application and typically between 2-5 years of meaningful work experience.

Berkeley sends twice as many undergrads to top MBA programs & that’s what has me worried.
