UCLA Orientation/Education Planner Problems

I haven't been able to sign up for orientation because my MyUCLA is refusing to let me complete my education planner. The page says: "you do not currently have access to Survey 3.0." Does anyone else have this issue? What should I do? How fast are the orientation days filling up? I really want an early day, but I'm worried I'll get stuck with late in the summer because I can't sign up...

Same problem here. Pretty scared too.

I’m getting seriously worried that there won’t be any classes available at the orientation times still open  Does anyone know what we can do to fix this?

sunnyseas: when did you SIR? I’m wondering if that has anything to do with it. I think I SIRed on Friday or Saturday, so I’m wondering it it just hasn’t gone through.

Duuuude. I sent mine in yesterday :|

Did you guys SIR recently? There could have been glitches in the system.

I think it does have to do with the SIR because I sent mine yesterday and I still can’t sign up…they definitely went through, I think we just have to keep waiting unfortunately

Regardless of what session you are in, they will hold classes for you. Don’t worry about your session time. Also you should try and come in the morning. There are speeches and general discussions about assimilating to life here at UCLA.

^ There will be classes open, sure, but chances of getting the classes you want or need goes down the drain, especially if your major is impacted or courses you want, popular.

Classes that you NEED will still be open. Each major department is different in terms of which classes they hold but it is the same for all students, we only open a certain number of spots in each class for each session.

There were a lot of transfers last year who could not get the classes they needed (courses specific to their major) because they signed up during later orientation sessions. UCLA’s system proves not so effective after all.

UCLA has a clear goal of having most transfer students out within 2 years. While they may not have a full load of classes they need, they will have some as well as be on track to graduate on time. I am a psychology major (one of the most impacted majors) who transferred and I am will on track to graduate early. I also attended session 207.

Ahaha okay, SimonPhase. I believe you, can’t a girl be a bit skeptical? Congratulations
