Anyone know when they hell they'll finish up DPR stuff? Cause I don't wanna be totally screwed. Because as of right now, I'm locked out of signing up for ANY of my required courses because as the Undergraduate Admissions office told me, "We haven't finished putting your Degree Progress Report together yet," so it looks like I haven't taken pre-reqs yet.

Apparently, they go through those who can attend orientation first, then those who couldn't attend get effed over and get leftovers.

Wow. They had one for me at my orientation on 7/17. Then I went to a department to change my major and after switching me over (which took approximately -4 seconds), my degree progress report was ready for my new major. It seems like a pretty automatic thing.

Zooie, i had the same problem as you. I didn't go to orientation so my DAR isn't up yet. I had called my department's counselor and told them about how i couldn't register for classes because of pre-reqs. she then gave me the email address of a person who could register me in the classes that i needed to take. All i had to do was to attach a picture of my unofficial transcript highlighting the classes that i took so that they could register me in the upper division classes.

The sooner you talk to them, the sooner you'll be in the classes you need to take.

The person who did it for me was from my department. Look up your department 's homepage and it should have a contact number. if you tell me your major i can look it up for you Zooie.

Don't worry, once your school starts, you will have it anyways.

2 years ago, my UCLA DPR was prepared in the day of orientation at like 7 PM or so while everyone already had theirs done but everything went fine after that.

Why is the process slow: Simply because there are thousands of transferring students going in at the same time--overload!

to all who is waiting for updated DPR, just relax! Give them time to process it!
Beside, uou can check it at www.ursa.ucla.edu . Also, you should at the mean time set up your email address if you haven't done so!
