UCLA parking permits

SoCali177 - Did you end up getting parking?

Anyway, the answer to your question: If you don’t get a permit, you could buy a daily parking permit. It’s $10 per day. You can go to one of three parking kiosks and tell them what parking lot you want OR you can go to one of our many parking lots with pay-by-space machines. (After awhile, you’ll probably get sick of going to a parking kiosk and will go straight to pay-by-space.) Here’s a link to the lots with pay-by-space–where you can pay by the hour (I won’t lie, it isn’t cheap) or pay by the day: [Pay Stations (1001128)](http://map.ais.ucla.edu/go/1001128) and [Pay Station Rates & Locations (1004693)](http://map.ais.ucla.edu/go/1004693).

Another option is to hop on a Vanpool. You’ll have to call 310-206-RIDE to determine if there is a van from the Pasadena area with a vacancy. Heads up: The schedule for the vanpools cater to the staff, however, and may not be terribly student-friendly. I do have friends and classmates who made it work for them.
I got parking Structure 7… was really hoping to get Structure 3 like last year. Anyone know of a way of getting this switched or is it possible/reasonable to find someone to trade with?
