Hi! I am a freshman student at a California community college and I plan on transferring to UCLA as a sophomore. Does anyone know the chances of sophomore acceptance? I’d appreciate any help, especially from current UCLA students!
Sophomore transfer meaning less than 60 semester/90 quarter units by Spring prior to transfer?
If you go on assist.org or the UCLA Arts website, it says that all their arts majors accept sophomore transfers!
yes, I will have a bit over 30 units by the time I plan to transfer!
There are two links on the School of Arts and Architecture page. First link sends you to the UC website for Junior level transfers. The 2nd link shows the criteria for CA CC transfers and does state they consider Sophomore level transfers as you noted (my mistake) but also recommend completing IGETC. Will you have that completed by Spring which make you more competitive?

that should give you a sense for the transfer GPA by major at each UC.
There is no harm in applying but, It is still a really competitive admit - seems less than 30% for most of the majors in that college. You will need all of the required courses and a competitive GPA - and maybe a little luck.
Good luck.
