Hello, I’m a community college student hoping to transfer to UCLA. Major: Applied Math. I will have completed IGETC, honors program, and the prerequisites needed to transfer by Spring 2017. Assist.org also lists other courses that lower division math majors have to take and the equivalent courses at my community college. I’ve completed all these courses except for the entirety of the physics.
I need to take UCLA Physics 1A, 1B, and 1C. I have take the equivalency of UCLA Physics 1A, but I wont be able to finish Physics 1B, 1C.
UCLA Physics 1A = Pasadena City College Physics 1A (completed)
UCLA Physics 1B = PCC Physics 1C
UCLA Physics 1C = PCC Physics 1C
I can take my school’s Physic 1B in the Spring, but it does not meet any requirements. I will have to take UCLA Physics 1B and 1C regardless if I take PCC Physics 1B; however from an admission standpoint, would it look better for me to take Physics 1B at my community college even though it doesn’t directly correlate with any UCLA classes?
