UCLA Transfer decisions out April 19th!

Fffff I hate waiting on admissions. Makes me more anxious.

Same here  Havent gotten any acceptances yet -_-

I haven’t seen the break down of transfers and freshman, until I just looked it up now. All I knew was that more people had applied, not that it was a huge increase in freshman

I’m kind of annoyed now, you have no excuses UCLA!

I have no life. I live on checking admissions.

And I should have really applied to more schools, and not just UCLA and Davis. Even though I have TAG to Davis, it feels weird not having any acceptance letters.

UCBound - I wasn’t referring to your post at all  you may be right. . .

I’m just saying, the hypothesis that “an increase or overwhelming # of transfer apps is causing the hold up” is not a sound argument to me. Decisions may be delayed, but that’s not why.

I don’t really believe the whole “increase number of applications” overwhelming them enough to change the date. I mean…the numbers of applicants haven’t changed.
19,087 transfer students applied this year and 19,099 transfer students applied last year. The number of applications for freshman has increased about 9%, but they’ve all received their admission decisions.

right premedaholic? I just posted my reasons why ^

Hey guys,

So I have Tagged to UC Davis and my TAG was approved. However, after a few months I have had a change of heart and really want to go to UCLA. Although, I have a 3.5 in psych and my chances of being admitted to UCLA are not very good, I was thinking to myself what if the TAG also plays a role in their decision. What if they think that since this person decided to TAG to UC Davis, this is where they want to go? Or maybe I am just putting silly thoughts into my head?

Lol, I wasn’t even responding to the “messenger”, I was responding to almalex5’s comment about UCLA being overwhelmed by apps :)

I agree, NO EXCUSES UCLA!!

I’m guessing they have an overlapping timeframe of reviewing transfer applicants and freshmen applicants. Since there were more freshmen applicants, they may have cut down on reviewing some transfer applicants before March.

I was talking to someone on here earlier today and he said that UCLA just sent him an email today asking for his winter grades… and gave him like 2 days to reply! which means they are still reviewing applications :frowning: so I don’t think the decisions will come out this week, well at least not on Friday!

I think his application will be delayed.

@College102 I don’t think you have anything to worry about in regards to your TAG to Davis.

HopingToXfer, might be on to something. Shucks… I’m becoming convinced, nooooooooooooooooo. Keep hope alive!! 19th 19th 19th!!

It gets worse as the 19th approaches!!’ I think I’ll be fine after the 19th though since there is no expected date.

@College102 UCLA wouldn’t care, they expect you to apply to other schools and to TAG into them, it’s a competitive school after all. A TAG isn’t the same as a SIR, it’s just a contract that says if you keep doing what you’re doing, you’re in, you haven’t committed to everything

I have a TAG for Davis too, as a backup school. It’s a pretty good option when you’re waiting on a school like LA

I keep telling myself that TAP applicants will come out on Friday. Surely they review ours separately sometime in Feb. . . .

Is this SUPER wishful thinking?

^yeah it is, a ucla rep informed me that my app was in the process of getting reviewed and this was last week (april 10th) its probably done by now but I am TAP certified meaning that we dont get priority as far as timing goes :/

Awww. Well I’m all out of ideas. I’ll get my mind ready to wait until 4/26. Lol.
