Not cool…!!

Ugh after looking through the 2011 acceptance page my hopes have dropped quite a bit- lots of poli sci majors with high GPA’s and TAP were rejected I am only a 3.6

The 22nd seems like an awful day to release the decisions.

@aztecstudent
Don’t worry! Last year’s thread discouraged me a bit too - but keep your hopes up, anything is possible. They consider a lot of things, not just GPA

@Sarah gahh i hope so!! I just keep thinking who am I to get accepted when these guys haven’t? Stupid impacted majors!!! Good luck to both of us!

^^ Yes good luck to you!!!

Here’s where MsSun got the April 19th from. http://imgur.com/HPwlLBN.jpg

@Hoping omg that’s amazing to hear cuz Ms sun said she got it from UCOP which can’t be wrong right?!

^ Well, the date may have been legit back in March and then changed recently due to the huge number of applications they received overwhelming their office.

While I think Ms. Sun might be wrong, I really really really really REALLY hope that I am just being stupid and she is right.

I think they did (and may still) have every intention of getting the decisions out on the 19th. It just doesnt look like its going to happen. Again, I spoke with my admin counselor today and he said they are not going to make the deadline. I say for now it wont hurt for wishful thinking but all signs are pointing to another long week.

How does your admin counselor know about it?

I’m guessing that she was originally right, but the increase in applications overwhelmed them

Best prediction: Decisions start coming out on Friday, with non-L&S all being released on Friday, and L&S students gradually being released over the next few days.

Why do I think this? Because if you think the “tricks” are bad now, imagine how they’ll be after the 19th. I’m sure a long delay would cause issues for UCLA’s bureaucracy

I just think more of us would see signs on URSA and myucla if decisions were to be out friday no?

I take the April 22th date back. That may be a good day to release decisions.

He is my admissions counselor for UCLA, he is employed by UCLA Admissions. My is probably the wrong term, he is the admissions rep that visits my CC campus.

Increase in applications??!! Didn’t the number of transfer apps DECREASE from last year? Not by much, but still.

Also, if UCLA could get the freshmen decisions out on time, and there are SIGNIFICANTLY more of those, then I don’t see transfer decisions being the big buzzer beater that everyone is speculating.

Ok that is more clear.

I wish we could “like” comments on here haha

I am just relaying the message. I want it to be wrong just as much as everyone else. haha
