Nice to hear there are A&A applicants here – good luck to you all. Art History major here.

No Sunbum. The BA in Ethnomusicology is part of the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music…

Yea it’s the 19th that’s what ms. Suns uc blog said and I trust her lol

Zimzam,

I noticed you applied to UCSD and UCLA for Art History. What other UC’s are you considering. I haven’t seen many Art History majors roam these forums.

Sotelo,

Just the two. No interest in going to UCB, for a variety of reasons, or any of the others because of their programs and locations. My long-term interests are as a fine artist, so relocating myself and my studio to LA makes the most sense, for me.

@mari2013 oh I see. Good luck to you.
@zimzam why didn’t you apply as an art major?

Ms suns blog says it will on the 19th! Are there any MCDB majors heree?

^ yup, right here. The days are getting slower!

does anyone know when is the deadline for decisions? are they going to post all decisions on one day?

All in one day I believe.

Sent from my SGH-T999 using CC

so UCLA releases acceptance/rejection all on one day strictly for transfer applicants?

Sumbum,

I’ve had a studio practice for a long time as well as consistent exhibiting nationally in respectable places; the thought of doing undergrad to learn much of what I already know seemed a waste, whereas burnishing my writing and critical skills seemed the wiser choice. Totally happy with my decision to go this route, too, as I’m already experiencing immediate payoffs in the studio and elsewhere.

I will say, though, that my goal is a UCLA MFA.

April 19th needs to hurry the hell up!!!

A friend said they already got a rejection email from UCLA.

@themadman Did your friend apply as a freshmen or as a transfer?

just got an email from ucla asks for my unofficial transcript, so nervous;(

@mushroombbq Don’t stress too much! Just send them what they want and you should be fine :). Several months ago, after I sent in my application, the UC application center decided to “verify” my application and had me send in all of my official transcripts from the three different community colleges I attended. Talk about a pain in the butt! lol

@alevy123

He was a transfer.

@themadman doubt it. Transfer decisions don’t come out until the 19th.

@alevy123

Uh…well he is definitely a transfer student since he attends a cc and I’m pretty certain he wouldn’t lie to me about it. There is a possibility that they started sending out rejections already.
