UCLA Transfer decisions out April 19th!

@madman pic or it didn’t happen

@alevy123 lol, thanks, I already sent the transcript.

@mushroombbq Did they say why they needed your transcripts so early? I thought they weren’t needed til after we’re accepted.

@sumbum no, they didn’t, they only ask for unofficial transcript and that’s it, so weird, are they thinking I’m lying? just kidding lol

"We are in the process of reviewing your application. Before we can complete our review and reach an
admission decision, we need the following information from you:

Unofficial copy of your PCC transcript attached

We must receive this information within two (2) days of this message date, or processing of your
application may be delayed or canceled."

@mushroombbq I think they sometimes just need additional data. I got an email with that exact wording a month ago from UCSD, but they wanted a transcript from an international school (that I have yet to attend). I just wrote back and said I can’t send you the transcript cuz I haven’t gone to the school yet – I’m going in June. I got an automatic response “Thank you for your information…” bla bla. However, about a week ago I got an actual response from a human that just said “thank you.” I was like: “OMG a human has read my application and is thanking me…”

Anyway, don’t fear. They just needed more data for some reason. At least you know your app is being looked at!

I got the same email several weeks ago about sending my unofficial transcripts. Not sure why they only ask some applicants. Probably not a big deal though.

Got a question guys, I did not get a call for Interview( Film Major) is there any chance UCLA will still accept me under a different major/undeclared major?

@Itaylapid Unfortunately, whatever major that you listed on your application is the major they will consider you for. However, it never hurt to call the admissions office and ask. But still, just because you did not get a call for an interview, does not mean that you will not be accepted. You will just have to wait until the 19th to see the result.

On that note, anybody else counting the days!?

@alevy123 Yes! 17 days!

Guys are we SURE its going to be the 19th? Like 100% sure? Im not saying its not I just don’t want to get my hopes up and then have to wait another week i would die haha

@aztectstudent Yes. [Ms. Sun’s UC Admissions Blog - UC Transfer Admission Decision Timeline + Waitlist Information FINAL/CONFIRMED](Error)

I may be late to the party here but… interview? What interview? We’re supposed to get a call for an interview? Or is that just film/art majors?

@eyespy Don’t worry. I am sure the interviews are just for film/ art majors.

@eyespy I think it’s just film majors.

The School of Arts and Arch. had a portfolio review.

Hi guys! I’m hoping to transfer to UCLA… although I’m trying to not get my hopes up!! Is anyone else an engineering major?

I’m officially freaking out :confused: How the hell does UCLA actually read so many applications? (99k apps)

@Sarah Civil Engineer Here

@hoping
Awesome! I’m aerospace engineering. Do you know what the average GPA for an engineering transfer student is?

Sent from my DROID4 using CC

@PreMedaholic The task is more than likely divided amongst a decent number of adcoms. I guess you just have to pray that the adcom reviewing your application is in a good mood :P

@premed: applications are read by 2 different admission officers…and both have to have said that you should be admitted…

good luck guys!! you guys are a lot calmer than last year!! we had threads upon threads stressing out about admissions haha
