@premed I heard that they never updated the website because but they were so nervous that they wouldn’t be able to reach the deadline, they just left it as “late April.” The deadline was supposed to be the 19th.

tomorrow is the day for decision.

BTW, what is the summer session student? I didn’t enroll for summer session, can I log in as a summer session student for housing?

@semifinal I’m not sure but I signed up as a new student to log into myucla and someone told me it doesn’t prove anything… They said it’s like signing up as a summer session student o_o

When do decisions seem to be released? dawn?

Usually after 5PM :

@Semifinal… take at least 10 minutes to read the thread a bit

when will it be?

Approximately 5PM PST, 26 April 2013

I’m thinking some kind of batch will come out tomorrow and admissions will continue to announce decisions till the 26th. Seems to make the most sense to me… But who knows

That would actually make sense, and explain UCLA’s reluctance to change the decision date from “late April” to a specific date on their website.

Sunbum: Yeah, I heard that’s why the date was never updated on the site, but I’m talking about when ppl have called and asked. If it was public knowledge, via UCLA newsroom, that it was for sure the 26th then why are the folks in admissions being shady and saying they aren’t sure, etc. That just perpetuates confusion. They could have easily directed us to that link.

I’m just frustrated that admissions knew we strongly speculated the 19th, someone on the inside should have been kind enough to tell us we were misinformed as the 26th doesn’t seem like a split decision. I think the article was dated two weeks ago ish.

Good luck my fellow future bruins!
The waiting will pay off!

so is there a time when the decisions are released? UCSB starting telling people at 3pm so does UCLA choose a time as well?

5pm April 26th

@ucisee That makes sense to me too. I really hope they do rolling decisions starting tomorrow, doesn’t seem likely though.

@premed I thought the article was dated April 18, 2013.
" UCLA admits more than 16,000 exceptional students for its fall 2013 freshman class
By Ricardo Vazquez | April 18, 2013 "

Have they done rolling admissions in the past?

All UCs do rolling decisions. Some release the majority of the decisions on one day.

This week has taken forever, and I am starting to lose confidence in my application. I know I shouldn’t say this, but its so hard to wait. Anybody else slowly losing confidence?

@UCdrone For some reason, waiting hasn’t made me very anxious. Maybe it’s because I’ve already been accepted to UCSD or because I’ve spent 3 years at CC so I’ve learned to develop a little patience, but I figure I’ll know these decisions soon enough. What’s an extra week when you’ve waited years to transfer?

Sure, I’d love to know right now if I could, but I’m at least sure to know before May 1st! (knock on wood) :)
